OUR COMPANY
Kolonwel Trading (Kolonwel) was founded in 1980 as a trading company for military items, such as combat clothing individual, guns and mortars. Its clients then were limited to the military, like the Department of National Defense, the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Philippine National Police.
With the success of its venture with the government, Kolonwel decided to concentrate 90% of its business dealings with the public sector in 1988. From the military, it broadened its list of clientele to other government agencies, like the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation, National Food Authority, Department of Agriculture, Post Office, Department of Health, Bureau of Fire Protection.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITY
GAMING
Kolonwel is well-known in the gaming industry as the supplier of playing cards, slot machines and other gaming equipment for casinos operated by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation for more than 25 years now. In 2014, Kolonwel was awarded, through public bidding, a U$D 3 Million three-year contract for the supply of tropicalized brand new playing cards.
COMMERCIAL
Kolonwel’s commercial dealings with the private sector, from 1988-1997, involved trading of STPP chemicals for the needs of multinational corporation, like Procter and Gamble, Unilever, and Colgate Palmolive and importation of raw materials from Europe, mainly from Austria, for commercial purposes.
GOVERNMENT
Recently, Kolonwel has made its way into the government needs for protective equipment, vehicles and heavy equipment. In February 2015, it was awarded by the Philippine Bureau of Fire Protection the biggest contract in Asia for the procurement of fire trucks worth U$D57 Million.
Kolonwel is confident for a brighter prospect in its current projects involving military equipment, like helicopters and seaplanes, for the Philippine National Police and Department of National Defense and all military items for the Philippine Government.
